Peter Maus

Peter Maus

Peter graduated from Rocori High School in 1984.  He attended St. Paul Technical College and graduated with honors in the Watch and Jewelry Repair program.  While attending school, he worked as a goldsmith for a jeweler in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  After graduation, he moved to St. Cloud, where he worked for a local jeweler.  Peter completed a Certified Gemologist degree, as well as a gem setting course, through the Gemological Institute of America.  Peter started at J. F. Kruse Jewelers in 2000 and became a partner in 2001.  He manages the repair department and utilizes his experience and expertise to create beautiful works of art.  His guiding philosophy throughout his career has been to put the customer first, and the quality of his work reflects that philosophy.

 

Harry Monnier

Harry Monnier

Harry graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 2003.  He attended the St. Cloud Technical College for industrial welding and graduated in 2004 with honors and as a member of the Deans List.  While attending college, Harry started working for a local custom jeweler as an apprentice by two master goldsmiths.  He was trained in lost wax casting, jewelry fabrication, and basic diamond and gemstone setting and identification during this period.  Since starting at J. F. Kruse Jewelers, Harry has completed two specialized training classes in advanced diamond and gemstone setting, one in focused on pave setting and one on channel setting.  Harry is extremely detail oriented and picky about his quality of work.  Harry continues to work at and refine his skills with a goal of becoming the most proficient diamond setter in the region. 

 

Joshua Smoley

Joshua Smoley

Joshua graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 2002.  He attended St. Cloud State University for one year of general studies, then continued on to the Medium Heavy Truck program at the St. Cloud Technical College.  While attending the St. Cloud Technical College, Josh was employed at Auto Value and Anderson Trucking Service where he learned many skills from working with customers to repair of heavy trucks and diesel engines.  After college, Josh received an offer to become a fire protection sprinkler fitter.  In 2005 he started his apprenticeship became a licensed journeyman five years latter.  Josh joined the J. F. Kruse team in 2011 as an apprentice goldsmith.  He has learned a mulitude of skills including laser welding, soldering techniques, setting and tightening of diamonds and gemstones, minor watch repair and battery replacement, prong and crown repair, and knowledge of gemstones.  Josh is a very skilled goldsmith and possesses a fine attention to detail.  Josh's goal is to become one of the top quality goldsmiths in the area.
