We offer expert watch and jewelry repair, appraisals from our Certified and Graduate Gemologists (GIA), pearl and bead restringing, and free comprehensive jewelry cleaning and inspection. All of our service work is done in-house, so you can feel comfortable when leaving your jewelry service work with us.

We are one of the only stores in Central Minnesota with a LaserStar Laser Welder. This amazing machine allows us to repair anything from wax carvings to almost any precious metal.

Some of our specific repair offerings include prong re-tipping, ring resizing, diamond remounting and resetting, and rhodium refinishing. We will also repair watch stems, crowns, batteries, bands, and crystals. Also, we offer free engraving with any J. F. Kruse jewelry purchase.

Our talented and trained restringing team can work on anything from wire restringing on your beaded costume jewelry to knotted restringing of your finest pearls.

Co-owner and service department manager, Peter Maus, has over 20 years of experience in the business, and has been a Certified Gemologist since 1999. He has mastered classes in watch making, gem setting, and laser repair.

Full-time goldsmith Harry Monnier brings his unique training as an industrial welder to the bench at J. F. Kruse. Now, he has been in the industry for five years, including time under an accomplished custom jewelry designer. He most recently finished a diamond channel setting class at the Minneapolis Community and Technical College.
